set up in partnership with professional Personal Trainer, Dominic Marsh with the sole aim of providing you with easy to follow, effective advice on how to get fit. As our name suggests this is how to train, pure and simple!

His belief in the training methods he uses and that the success he has achieved should be available to everyone is the driving motivation behind this PureTrain website!
A brief Bio...Dominic has been training with weights for nearly 25 years and has seen the coming and going of many a diet and training fad! He started going
to the gym at the age of 19 and was
soon beginning to develop his own training methods after questioning
the effectiveness of some of the
accepted training practices of the
day. Dominic's own competitive
career was short lived, after
achieving success in the Under
23
British Power Lifting Championships
as a 'drug-free' lifter, he had to endure an enforced lay-off due to an ankle injury. Although continuing to train throughout this period, at the age of 21, Dominic turned his attention to providing coaching to other powerlifting competitors and by altering their routines and implementing many of his own training methods
he successfully produced 2 World
and 2 European Champions.
Fifteen years ago Dominic became a professional Personal Trainer and has been successfully using the training methods he developed to help ordinary people achieve their own personal health and fitness goals. This success is based on a simple premise that building muscle and therefore controlling body fat levels through resistance training is the key to sustainable long-term fitness.

or old, fat or thin. As more and more evidence shows that 'aerobic' activity is not the most effective form of exercise for fat loss and that muscle cells burn the most calories, we believe the answer is quite simple...train with weights!
Supplements...We recommend the use of natural dietary supplements as part of the PureTrain Fitness Regimes because of the lasting beneficial effects
in areas such as increased muscle gain, strength levels and recovery times. You can obviously follow our training and healthy eating plans quite happily without using supplements but your desired results may take longer and be harder to achieve. At PureTrain we do not believe in the use of steroids.
We explain in simple terms all you need to know about getting fit, breaking the process down into three crucial areas:-
Diet...At PureTrain we don't actually believe in diets as such! The word diet has been traditionally taken to mean cutting down your intake of food...often drastically! Instead, we believe that you should adopt a healthy eating plan that
if combined with a controlled training regime can help you achieve your fitness goals. This is more a change of lifestyle and long-term eating habits rather than a 'diet', enabling you to break the cycle of yo-yo dieting where you end up putting back on more weight than you lose!
